Job Description

The Business Support Analyst will work with all departments within the Servicing department to understand departmental goals and effectively participates in the development and implementation of business solutions. The Business Support Analyst will manage project risks through comprehensive mitigation assessment and planning techniques

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews and product analysis to gather and document business and functional requirements
  • Actively manage the work efforts of multiple resources through project planning
  • Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes and interfaces
  • Servicing administrator for Account Connect software
  • Work closely with IT to help facilitate security for Servicing
  • Develop documentation, monitor and report project status, and assess the effectiveness and accuracy of documentation
  • Initiate and maintain reporting relationships with project stakeholders including team members, peers, managers, customers, vendors, and other affected departments to coordinate efforts across multiple business units to ensure continuous efficient management of projects while gathering input and feedback
  • Analyze and report project status and research information
  • Monitor project performance to maintain the quality of services, deliverables, and content
  • Effectively assist in directing resources to achieve business solutions within project guidelines
  • Respond to operational issues within defined areas of responsibility while progressing on project work
  • Collaborate with other project managers and leaders to coordinate cross line of business activities
  • Identify and eliminate obstacles to solution plans, business goals, and implementation
  • Assist in the development and implementation of contingency plans
  • Escalate to management any deficiencies, problems, or concerns that may be a potential risk
  • Various duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years Business Analyst experience required
  • Experience in managing cross-functional, cross-departmental and enterprise-wide initiatives; experience within the financial services industry is a plus
  • Customer focused approach to developing, managing and communicating business solutions and results
  • Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions, and chose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis
  • Ability to establish clear and concise objectives, assign the appropriate priority to work packages, manage tasks and timelines, and facilitate communication amongst the team
  • Knowledge of project reporting, including gathering data, establishing metrics, performing trend analysis, data mining and advanced analytics
  • Solid understanding of data analysis, weighted scoring techniques, critical path methods and standard project management tools
  • Experience working with a variety of users at all levels within the organization
  • Detail-oriented with meticulous focus on project documentation throughout the life-cycle of a project
  • Proficient in task, time and data management and be able to meet deadlines within strict time-frames
  • Ability to negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts among project stakeholders while managing client expectations
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly with Excel pivot tables, charting and graphing tools
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent observational skills
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, including the ability to quickly and efficiently troubleshoot problems in a diverse, high-intensity, constantly changing environment and be capable of recommending and leading process improvements using critical thinking, problem solving, and sound judgment skills
  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate concepts and theories to a broad audience
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team based environment
