Job Description

As a Credit Reporting Specialist with Colonial, you will be the primary point of contact for all credit reporting inquiries from customers and internal departments. This includes responsibility for: managing the overall servicing relationship with credit agencies; identifying service trends; identifying training opportunities; and identifying any potential issues in the reporting process for management review. In addition you will handle escalated reporting matters and ensure overall client satisfaction, partnering with internal business units as needed for resolution.

Responsibilities Include:


• Act as a front line point of contact for all credit inquiries with credit agencies and customers
• Identify and respond to credit disputes via e-oscar and works with internal business units to ensure loans are reported according to FCRA guidelines
• Identify process gaps impacting credit reporting and notifies appropriate business units and management to remediate gaps
• Ensure credit bureau data integrity within the LoanServ system
• Create and manage tracking reports for pipeline management, exceptions, escalations, and report findings to management on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Other duties as needed

 

Job Requirements

• 2+ Years of Mortgage Servicing experience
• Previous account management/client relations experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of the e-oscar system and FCRA guidelines
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to resolve customer issues
• Some college coursework preferred
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail with intense organizational and follow through skills
• Ability to project a professional demeanor in person, by phone, and in written communication
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Ability to proactively plan and organize to meet client and business needs
• Ability to define and execute multiple tasks and prioritize assignments
• Ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment
