Job Description

The Data Analyst II will work to develop, research, analyze, maintain, and respond to analytical inquires that impact all business units within servicing. This includes ensuring the availability of data warehouse applications, configuring all new implementations, developing processes, automation, documentation for ongoing management and maintenance of data warehouse document, and workflow infrastructure. Key success factors for this position rely on timely and accurate delivery of reporting, extracts, and tools. Additionally, excellent technical and communication skills are required. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Build, research, and resolve high complexity database issues
  • Develops/maintains test scenarios (automated or manual) to validate programs/applications functionality and integration
  • Executes test scenarios, analyzes results, records and track defects discovered throughout the testing process
  • Maintains proficiency in multiple development life cycles and recommends improvements
  • Utilizing standard procedures and techniques, analyzes, designs, codes, and tests new systems and/or provides the ongoing production support for existing systems that are cross-functional and multi-platform
  • Strong background in data management, workflow automation, database design, and data normalization
  • Ability to work across business groups with a focus on developing solutions to address business needs
  • Must understand how to monitor and maintain data warehouse integrity, be able to work closely with business units, and proactively assess and recommend strategies for improving workflow and automation throughout the business
  • Monitor and maintain software and data import/export for optimal performance and availability
  • Analyzes, designs and completes business requirements and proposes alternate solutions for data processes, interfaces (internal and external), controls, outputs, infrastructure, tools, and testing  
  • Analyze problems and research solutions
  • Identify and escalate issues to management as needed
  • Assist in general infrastructure support as needed 
  • Owning, creating, building, and maintaining databases for Loan Administration Department
  • Analyzing seller servicing data files for accuracy and integrity
  • Partnering with Loan Administration Seller Relations Supervisor to develop and seller vendor management scorecards 


Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics and reporting required
  • 2+ years of experience with reporting in mortgage operation preferred
  • 1-2 Years' experience in the financial services industry desired
  • Thorough understanding and extensive experience with SQL Server
  • Strong ad-hoc query building skills, especially around data comparison and transformation
  • Strong data normalization and data warehousing experience
  • Strong experience with data import/export, conversion and integration with other systems
  • Strong automated workflow systems design experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Select queries and update statements
  • Proficiency with SISENSE Business Intelligence tool (Dashboard creations)
  • Proficiency with MS Access, (Tables, Queries, and Macros)
  • Proficiency with MS Excel (Tables, Queries, Pivot Tables)
  • Detail Oriented
  • Must be able to multi task
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Can thrive in high pressure/fast environment
