Job Description

As a Jr Loan Officer with CU Members Mortgage, you will be responsible for assisting Loan Officers and Processors with gathering information, efficiently distributing new online loan applications and inquiries to the appropriate loan officer, preparing loans for processing submission, and contacting members for details, as well as providing administrative support in other areas when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Loan Officers with loan file preparation
  • Maintaining all logs associated with the loan applications and inquiries
  • Communicate with borrowers and/or potential borrowers over the phone and by email
  • Assist borrows with inquiries about their loans as necessary (may include discussion of rates and terms)
  • Assist with reporting functions
  • Assist loan officers when necessary
  • Order escrow, title, appraisals demands, 4506 etc. and follow-up on these items to ensure delivery
  • Maintain communication between Loan Officers, Processors and Members
  • Contact members for needed items
  • Attend meetings when required
  • Answer phones
  • Prepare Cancel/denial files
  • Set-up files for completeness
  • Work with Word, Excel, Empower, MortgageBot, Company Intranet and Citrix and other programs
  • Track and record appraisal bills and money
  • Assist members in password resets and other online application questions
  • Maintain a positive relationship with key personnel and fellow employees
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Job Requirements

  • Some mortgage experience and credit union experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Advanced organizational skills, including the ability to plan work activities and stay on schedule
  • Effective and professional communication skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic, fast paced working environment
  • Computer proficiency, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
  • Proficient in typing and 10 key
  • Knowledge of basic office procedure
  • Successful NMLS registration is required
