Job Description

As a Loan Processor - Implementation Specialist at Colonial, you will be responsible for testing loans from application to closing and problem solving difficult scenarios during implementation of the new Loan Origination System (LOS).

Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare and review loan disclosures for LOS testing
  • Run all vendor services and test cases for new LOS implementation
  • Write test cases and scenarios
  • Document all test cases per agreed test plan and recommend changes to LOS for optimization and configuration
  • Review loan submissions for completeness and compliance, including but not limited to, the 1003, credit report, income and asset documentation, purchase agreement, title report, etc.
  • Run, read and interpret Automated Underwriting Decision results from both Desktop Underwriter and Loan Prospector
  • Ensure loans tested meets agency and government guidelines
  • Consistently meet or exceed established minimum productivity and quality goals
  • Provide quality testing responses in a timely manner
  • Become subject matter expert to assist and train internal customers
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Requirements

  • 2+ years minimum recent experience processing conventional and FHA/VA mortgage loans
  • Must have working knowledge of various investor guidelines and current regulatory guidelines including RESPA, MDIA, TILA, TRID, etc.
  • Computer proficiency including Word, Excel, Outlook, and 10-key by touch
  • Experience with Desktop Underwriter / Originator and Loan Prospector
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Current working knowledge of investor, regulatory, and company guidelines
  • Must be highly detail oriented
  • Must possess professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
