Job Description

As a Production Branch Manager with Colonial, you will be responsible for the overall operations of a mortgage branch office. This includes overseeing day-to-day sales efforts, maintaining the quality of loan applications, and coaching Loan Officers to greater productivity and efficiency while proactively soliciting new residential mortgage business.

Responsibilities Include:

• Oversees all activities that relate to the origination of residential mortgage loans
• Originates loan production, takes loan applications and solicits business from real estate offices
• Manages staff and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Colonial's policies and applicable laws
• Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and assisting in training employees
• Conducts seminars to various real estate offices
• Liaison between branch office and home office as well as between production, underwriting and closing departments
• Conducts weekly office meetings to keep all personnel up to date on policy changes as well as changes in guidelines
• Ultimately responsible for all branch functions
• Leads, directs, recruits, and trains staff with intent to originate lawful, compliant mortgage loans under the terms offered by the company
• Ensures that all loans are processed and closed efficiently and accurately according to company policies, practices and governmental regulations.
• Keeps informed of trends and developments in the local real estate market, as well as the changing rules and regulations pertaining to both private and government-insured mortgages
• Monitors branch expenses
• Continually seeks ways to improve business
• Organizes branch to attain efficiency, effectiveness, completeness, accuracy and timeliness in its operations
• Ensures customer relations and community involvement through participation in community and civic activities
• Maintains branch employees reviews and administrative records needed for payroll and other personnel functions
• Other duties as required to meet objectives


Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a loan officer in the local market
• Previous Supervisory experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree (management/ finance) preferred
• Proven results as a loan originator and successful track record of strong production
• Full range of knowledge of FHA, VA, FNMA and FHLMC guidelines
• Advanced and current knowledge of mortgage industry, loan programs, and governmental regulations
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow through skills
• An ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times
• Strong Leadership and motivational abilities
• Successful NMLS Registration is required
